ART;  the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such  as painting or 

sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power

James Evans Jr. (JJ) the character on the hit TV show "Good Times" was the first person to expose many of us to visual art we liked. Those paintings, that were actually done by the late great legendary artist Ernie Barnes, made us all fall in love with the power and beauty of visual art. 

Whether it's paintings, such as, the  above "Portrait of Mbalenhle" by world renown artist Tim Okamura, drawings, graffiti, murals, tattoos, sculptures, etc... we love it all. The creativity and skill of taking nothing and turning it into something beautiful, is amazing.

Art is part of our daily lives more than we realize, and everyone has an inner artist within them. Whether it's creating a painting, drawing, a beat, writing a song, a poetry joint, decorating your favorite room, putting the finishing touches on that jazzy new hairstyle, creating a new dance or putting that fly new outfit together, art is always present. We participate in and create art everyday.

MUSIC;  an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color.

What songs are in the music soundtrack of your life? Those songs, that when you hear them, take you back to a particular 

time and place.

Our love for music started when we were kids, right? Remember listening to the music your parents would play while playing cards with their friends at the house? Those Saturday morning clean ups, your mama would be blasting her favorite music or riding in your daddy's car as he's bumpin' his favorite songs. Ahh, fond memories of yesteryear.

Remember when Michael Jackson's "Off The Wall" album dropped?! It set the world on fire! Songs from that album are still in rotation today at radio stations around the world. Good music never dies. It lives on forever and stands the test of time. 

We have a simple philosophy at Supasonicsoul. Play good music. We want your head noddin, toes tappin, fingers snappin, body bouncin, body rockin, and your body  groovin to the music coming out of your speakers. We want  that slow song to penetrate your heart and touch your soul. We hope you enjoy the music, and welcome to our world.

Love Jones is hands down one of our most iconic movies of all-time. It was beautiful, romantic, funny and the soundtrack

was fire. Recall the poetry scene; it was a laid back vibe, cool people, cool music, the power, beauty and sexiness of words

smoldered on film. It was also our introduction to poetry and we've been loving it ever since. 

Poetry stretches your mind, imagination, spirit and soul. It can be complexed, abstract or simple. Poetry can address all

subjects of life and touch all aspects of existence. So, whether you're a virgin to the mic like Nina Mosley in the movie "Love Jones" or world renown poet Maya Angelou. Poetry is a beautiful art form, in which everyone can participate.,

CULTURE;  the customs, arts, social institutions, and achievements of a particular nation, people, or other social group

Our culture is so dope, so cool and ever so trendsetting. It's the way we walk, the way we talk, the way we move, the way we groove. The way we style our hair, the clothes we wear, the shoes we rock, the cars we drive, the way we dance, the dripping jewelry, the lingo, the 16 different shades we come in. We set the world on fire just by being ourselves.

We are a special people, a magical  people, people of love, spiritual people, peaceful people and a helping people. Celebrate who you are and be proud of who you are. Your swag can be traced back to your ancestors and your ancestor's ancestors; it's

embedded in you, apart of your genetic code, your DNA. Your life is a piece of art. 

So keep dreaming, keep being creative, keep being imaginative, keep being yourself because the world loves it.

LOVE;  an intense feeling of deep affection

When you find the right person, love is euphoric. Love puts you in a state of nirvana. It is the most beautiful feeling in the world,

being in love. Having a ride or die by your side. Having someone to help you get through the turbulence that life can bring. 

When you're in love, you have a glow around you, love radiates from your spirit and your soul, and touches others. 

So, let's celebrate our love more often. Celebrate the years you've been with someone so that it can be a shining example 

of what love is suppose to look like and feel like. At the end of the day, love still rules and love is all we need.
